The Roller Coaster of Life

All of us in life have dreams and goals that we strive to achieve. What hurts your self-esteem the most is when you feel you have achieved one of those dreams and it ends up slipping away from you. Recently, I lost such a dream that I felt had been achieved and it has really changed my life.

You can try to give a 100% percent to everything in your life, but the key thing to remember is that you can only give 100% percent to one part at a time. Sometimes you feel that you are evenly spreading the percentage of your time to all parts of your life and given importance to the right parts, but there is no way to know if you ever have that percentage completely correct. There are other factors that play a role in some of your dreams, and some of those factors you have no control over and never will have control over. The best thing that you can do is ensure that you have not left anything on the table and have said or done everything you can possibly do to make your dreams reality.

Remember that every dream that you have achieved in your life can slip away or be taken away. You can never become complacent and feel that you are doing enough to hold onto your dream because if you start to lose your grip on that dream there might not be anything you can do to keep from losing it. I know that everything I have stated seems almost like common sense, but even though I wrote and know the things stated above I still lost a dream that meant more to me than any other dream that I have ever achieved.
